On the work,
and why it’s done
slowly.
and why it’s done
slowly.
The web forgets in a hurry. Software rots, links rust, whole communities slip
out of the index without a sound. The work here is to slow that down:
to write small tools, mirror what matters, and leave a paper trail for
whoever comes looking next.
Fig. 01 / fragments held
A short
index of practice.
Less of a portfolio, more of a working register. Each line is something the studio comes back to often, in one form or another.
001
More storage
Drives, racks, off-site mirrors. Always one more copy, always a little more capacity. The archive grows because what's worth keeping has a way of needing space.
002
Independent tooling
Quiet, single-purpose tools written for personal use first. Released when they hold up to a stranger's hands.
003
Web archiving
Pulling pages down before they vanish, kept locally and pushed up to the Wayback Machine. Two copies, two places, for whoever comes looking next.
004
Notes & marginalia
Long-running written notes on what's worth keeping and why. Occasionally surfaced as essays.
Correspondence
welcome.
Slow letters preferred to fast ones. If it concerns something worth preserving, or a tool you'd like a hand with, the door is open.
